I don’t have emphysema but my dad does and he is only 60 years old. He was told about 4 years ago that if he were to quit smoking then he would be okay because it was very minor at that time. Now he smokes more and just got released from the hospital after being weak for 6 days and finally passing out. It turns out he has significant emphysema but I have no idea what that means. How long do we have with him? How can I get him to stop? I cry cause he is the world to our family, our children, his 12 grandchildren. He is young. We are young.
