Heart Attack, not heartburn!

I am a 42-year old non-smoker with normal cholesterol and I had a heart attack two weeks ago. I now have one stent holding the artery that supplies blood to the front wall of my heart. When my chest pain started, I passed it off as being gas as I was burping excessively even though there was a ’steady squeeze’ inside my chest all the way to my back that would last 3-5 minutes. The ’squeezes’ would happen in pairs at about 20 to 30 minutes apart. Finally when the third squeeze came we decided to go to the ER. They determined that I had a 95% blockage and a stent was warranted. My word to the wise is that bad gas associated with chest pain may be more heart related than stomach related!
